Mastectomy Swimsuits

Our newest tankini top is named after one of our long-time customers, Harper, who I am proud to now call a friend. When I saw on Instagram that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, I was crushed. Even if I had never met her, I always loved seeing her posts wearing the swimsuits and clothing I’ve designed over the years. I saw that she was going through chemo and, having gone through the experience with my mom and knowing how much discomfort it brings, I decided to send Harper one of our soft cover-ups along with a note that I was praying for her. She wrote me a thank you message and asked if any of our swimsuits would work for someone who had a mastectomy. I was so sad to admit that none of them would work without being slightly modified. I had two swimsuits left in our SS2019 collection to design and decided to make them both prosthetic-friendly with higher necklines and name one of them after Harper. Most of the mastectomy swimsuits I’ve seen are for older women, but young ladies like Harper deserve to feel beautiful in a swimsuit, too. I know my mom would be proud ❤️

Harper

Both Harper and Bette work with or without prosthetics. Harper looks super cute paired with the high waist boy shorts or regular high waist bottoms. Bette can be paired with a skirt for more coverage.
