Consumer Rights

A few days ago, we celebrated World Consumer Rights day. We love to engage our customers by frequently asking questions and taking the answers into consideration when designing our upcoming collections.

Two years ago, I had lunch with another entrepreneur-- she told me that I should choose a handful of bloggers/influencers and design my collection around them. Her advice was to choose colors and prints that I thought these influencers would like and then send swimsuits to them with the hopes that they'd post about my brand, thus gaining more popularity. I said, "absolutely not!" That might work for some brands, but I don't design for bloggers or influencers-- I am not trying to win a popularity contest. My goal since starting this brand remains the same-- for ladies to step out feeling beautiful, comfortable, and confident in a swimsuit. I want you to embrace your dignity and your self-worth! Yes, press is nice, but reading positive reviews from our customers is what makes all of my hard work worth it.

I aim to be transparent with our customers when it comes to our manufacturing practices. As consumers, you have power. By raising your standards for the companies you purchase from, you are standing up and asking them to run more ethically and sustainably.

This year's theme is "Taking on Plastic Waste" which is all about being an informed consumer and buying sustainably. We are proud to embrace waste reduction by creating our swimsuits from regenerated fabrics made from post-consumer waste like carpet fluff and rescued fish nets.
