Christmas in the Sunshine

December 16, 2016

Living in California without the need for a warm winter coat, ear muffs, and matching scarf and mittens (we have this stuff- we just never wear it), sometimes makes it hard to get into that holiday spirit!  Here are our top four things to do in the winter (aka 72 degrees) to make it feel more like we're living in a Winter Wonderland.

Ice Skating

You can find a local ice skating rink almost anywhere, so grab your mittens and a thick coat and get ready for some slippery fun. If you are a first timer, you can usually rent a bucket for balance. Sure you may fall a few times, but there’s something about the ice that just brings out the kid in all of us.

Cookie Decorating Party

Invite a few of your closest friends over and be sure to make the dough a day in advance. Let the dough cool in the fridge for at least 24 hours. Make sure to stock up on cookie cutters, sprinkles, candy eyeballs, and a variety of colored icing. Piping bags will also come in handy. Break out the Christmas music, make some hot cocoa and get ready to have some creative fun. Pack a treat bag to go, so that your guests can bring home all the sweet treats that they created.

 Christmas Light Stroll

Grab your peppermint mocha and hot chocolate and get ready for a good stroll. Most towns have known neighborhoods that dedicate their time and love for lights to decorating their entire neighborhood- the best part is that it's probably FREE. This is a great way to get the kids moving, while enjoying the unique beauty of each display.  Our favorite place to see Christmas lights is Disneyland, which is sadly not free (only in our dreams would that be true).

Ornament making

Invite a bunch of your closest friends and family members over.  Make sure to stock up on plastic balls, glitter, beads, sequins, pens, scissors, paint and hot glue. Make sure that you have enough supplies for everybody. Set up two tables, one that provides your guests with ideas and a focal point to get them started. Leave the other table completely free to serve as their workspace. Set up a small tree no bigger than four 4 ft. tall, and allow each guest to hang and display there ornament on it at the end of the party for everyone to appreciate.

perfect fit and beautiful pattern

I love my Grace suits and this was the perfect addition and easy choice as the fit is the same. Such a flattering and comfortable fit and the pattern looks so cute with my black cover-up and sun hat. Love!

Love the fit!

I have a small bust compared to my hips, and a longer torso, so it’s pretty challenging to find a one-piece that doesn’t give me a huge wedgie. I got the size small in the Pear shaped swimsuit; my measurements are 34”-31”-38”, and a size small fits great. Thank you for making swimsuits for a range of bodies!!

Family vacation

I needed a swimsuit with more coverage for a family reunion trip and this swim dress fit the bill. I got so many compliments and the colors are just stunning. The pics don't do it justice.

Perfect sizing

I am a medium on top and a large on bottom and I appreciate that I can order two different sizes. It's a perfect fit.

Bestt birthday gift

My husband gave this to me for my birthday for a trip he booked for us and I am surprised at how well it fits. The fabric is buttery soft and I love the different ways to wear the straps. I'll send pics from hawaii!
