DIY Candle

Did you know that most candles are full of toxic chemicals (even their wicks contain metals like lead)?  Eek!  I love lighting candles, especially when it's cold outside.  I looked into using soy candles, but apparently those are not good for you either (because most soy is genetically modified).  Feeling distraught, I decided to make my own candle out of beeswax. It was super easy and didn't take very long at all.  Beeswax has a natural sweet smell and also purifies the air. Yay!

Here's a link to the unfiltered beeswax I used (I love the way it looks- it made me sad to melt it).

I did not see these candle wicks until after we made this video, but they look easier than the ones I used.
